At the core of Adalat Law Firm’s work are human rights.
Human rights are enshrined in law and state that all people, regardless of background or status, are born free and equal in dignity and rights. When the state intervenes in your life, it must respect your human rights. If you have been subjected to a human rights violation, we will fight for you.
Our lawyers are particularly committed to human rights issues and actively work to uphold them in all areas of our practice. When we assist clients in criminal cases, child welfare cases, cases involving involuntary psychiatric care, or cases of deportation or family reunification, we always examine whether the state has complied with human rights obligations.
Our founder, attorney Lars Mathias Undheim, recently uncovered that several prisons in Norway violated human rights by not allowing inmates to take their prescribed medications. You can read more about that here.
