Attorney Lars Mathias Undheim represented a man who had been charged with laundering three million Norwegian kroner. After initially being convicted in the district court, the client appealed the verdict and was acquitted by the court of appeal. As a result, he went from facing one year and six months in prison to receiving no sentence at all.

“It is encouraging that the court of appeal takes the principle of reasonable doubt seriously. And that they acknowledge it is the prosecution’s responsibility to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt,” said attorney Lars Mathias Undheim in an interview with TV 2.
